A Little About Me

My name is Tadii G and I am the Creative Director of the clothing brand Svosva. I am also an entrepreneurial content creator. 2 years after launching my business I decided to start a YouTube channel that documents my journey into entrepreneurship and also drops gems on how you can start your clothing brand without making the mistakes that I did. I have made quite a lot of mistakes throughout my years of being an entrepreneur, however, it’s those mistakes have made me the savvy businesswoman I am today and those mistakes make me confident and qualified to create this detailed clothing brand starter kit so you do not make the same errors. 

 

They say a smart person learns from their mistakes and a wise person learns from the mistakes of others. 

 

I went into this head first knowing nothing about fashion. I went to University and I graduated with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering then I decided to go into fashion. Back then I wouldn’t have said fashion was my passion however business was and because I am in the business of fashion, fashion has become my passion and I have taken time out to learn the industry that I am in.

 

I know how tough and gruelling it can be coming into an industry you know little to nothing about. Not only are you learning about fashion, but you are also learning about business coupled with the pressures creatives and entrepreneurs experience. When I started my brand I didn’t know anyone with knowledge of fashion to help me or to point me in the right direction. I knew what I was doing when it came to business because I had a business mentor, however, theirs only so much he could do for me. This is also the reason why I started my YouTube channel 

 

I have created this starter kit because I know what it was like. I created it in a way that if I had this 2 years ago I would not have lost as much as I have lost. I would have been able to be confident in what I was doing and had a clear direction from the very beginning. This starter kit aims to help you start your clothing brand. An ongoing question I receive daily is “I want to start a clothing brand but I don’t know where to start” 
 

Over the past year, I have been running 1:1 sessions with people wanting to start a clothing brand. I have used those sessions to also ensure that I am covering absolutely everything.
